Construction of low weighted and fault-tolerant topology for wireless ad hoc and sensor network

چکیده
To preserve network connectivity is an important issue especially in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks (WASN), where wireless links are easy to be disturbed and tiny sensors are very easy to fail accidently. Therefore, it is necessary to design a fault-tolerant network. A feasible method is to construct a k-connected (k-vertex connected) topology. In this paper, we consider k-connectivity of wireless network and propose a simple global algorithm (GAFTk) which preserves the network k-connectivity and reduces the maximal transmission power (TP). The average degree expectation of the topology generated by GAFTk isO ( (k + 3) ) and the expected weight isO ( (k+3)

Quasi Random Deployment Strategy for Reliable Communication Backbones in Wireless Sensor Networks
Topology construction and topology maintenance are significant sub-problems of topology control. Spanning tree based algorithms for topology control are basically transmission range based type construction algorithms. The construction of an effective backbone, however, is indirectly related to the placement of nodes. Also, the dependence of network reliability on the communication path undertak...
متن کاملTopology control for fault-tolerant communication in wireless ad hoc networks
Fault-tolerant communication and energy efficiency are important requirements for future-generation wireless ad hoc networks, which are increasingly being considered also for critical application domains like embedded systems in automotive and aerospace. Topology control, which enables multi-hop communication between any two network nodes via a suitably constructed overlay network, is the prima...
متن کاملOn Constructing Interference-Aware k-Fault Resistant Topologies for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks
The most fundamental problem in wireless ad-hoc networks is to determine a connected communication subgraph that satisfies desirable topological properties by assigning appropriate transmission power to each node. Some of the properties considered by a vast majority of researchers include minimum-energy, fault tolerance, minimum interference, and bounded node degree. However preserving two or m...

In wireless sensor networks, optimal consumptionof energy and having maximum life time are important factors. In this article attempt has been made to send the data packets with particular reliability from the beginning based on AODV protocol. In this way two new fields add to the routing packets and during routing and discovering of new routes, the lowest remained energy of nodes and route tra...
متن کاملTopology Control Algorithm Using Fault-Tolerant 1-Spanner for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks
A fault-tolerant 1-spanner is used to preserve all the minimum energy paths after node failures to cope with fault-tolerant topology control problems in wireless ad hoc networks. A fault-tolerant 1-spanner is a graph such that the remaining graph after node failures will not only remain connected, but also have a stretch factor of one. The fault-tolerant 1-spanner is used in a localized and dis...
